Taking Care of You

Welcome to the Personalized Marketing Inc 11 Year Anniversary Blog Event! This month the blogs are going to focus primarily on what we do to take care of ourselves or suggestions on how to take care of you. Personalized Marketing Inc is focused on providing services that are tailored to our clients needs and we also understand the struggles of trying to work, promote, market, manage emails and all the lovely things that go along with managing an online presence. So, it only seemed appropriate that the topic for the month was about ‘Taking Care of You’.

When it comes to taking care of me, I have found the best way is to disconnect is by going outside and working in my yard or garden. I do not have any electronic devices with me when I go out to work, just music in my ears when alone or my family with me. Digging in the dirt, pulling weeds, and taking care of the yard brings pride true and yes some definite aches but it also gives me exercise and tactile sensory memories. I often remember doing things as a child while working out there and I hope that when I get older and feel the dirt in my hands, I will remember this as well.

Another way I like to take care of me is by spending time with my family, taking walks, listening to music and working on my home. Oddly enough my method of disconnecting is by being physical and not having technical devices in my hands or in my pockets. It does literally mean disconnecting from work and school both. Doing something that gets the body moving and the heart pumping.

Taking care of you does not have to be something expensive or a vacation (which I love going and watching the water…) somewhere. It can be something simple and even free, like dirt. It is just a time for you to disconnect from work and spend time recharging your internal batteries.
